De Cordova Bend Estates is a gated golf community developed by Texlan Corporation in 1969. It covers 855 acres with 22,700 feet of waterfront. On these 855 acres you'll find 1,651 lots which lie within the rolling hills around Lake Granbury.

Originally, this Granbury real estate development was to be used for weekend retreats.  It was to be populated with small lake homes and a community club house and pool.  But, the beauty of the lake and peaceful surroundings afforded the desirability for larger homes and full-time residency.

De Cordova has an 18-hole private golf course which features the longest tees for a par 70 course and was designed by Leon Howard and Dave Bennett, ASGCA. Pecan Plantation is also a gated golf community. It features a private air strip, and equestrian center, as well as the Brazos river access. This Granbury real estate development was established in the 1970s and is still owned by a single family. The original family acreage of over 4,200 acres featured over 1,600 acres of pecan orchards, and the family is still growing pecans today.

The Nutcracker Golf Club is a private 18-hole Championship Course that is managed by the developer. While you need not be a property owner to be a member of the Nutcracker Golf Club, likewise, the purchase of a lot does not automatically make you a member either.  There are various levels of memberships to fit a variety of family needs. Harbor Lakes offers a private golf course situated against a backdrop of the big Texas sky in a non-gated community. The golf club was designed by Dick Phelps who has received numerous design honors in his career. This particular course stretches over a 7,300  yard layout set against the backdrop of Lake Granbury.  The club also boasts a 10,000 square-foot clubhouse and locker room, a bar and grill, a pro shop, a pool, a driving range, and a ballroom.
